Welcome to the Tidewater Inn, nestled in the heart of down Easton, a vibrant arts and cultural center recently ranked eighth in the book “The 100 Best Small Towns in America”. The Chesapeake Bay and many charming Eastern Shore towns are minutes away from downtown Easton offering an array of land and sea activities.

We invite you to visit Easton throughout the year to experience all the wonderful events that take place at the Tidewater Inn and on the Eastern Shore. Our community features world renowned events and festivals every year such as the Waterfowl Festival in November, the Plein Air Competition and Arts Festival in July, plus all the amazing shows at the Avalon Theatre just across the street from the Tidewater.

The Avalon Foundation is pleased to present its Free Outdoor Concert Series, a highlight of an Eastern Shore summer for 21 years.

“We are delighted that we are able to bring our programming outside for free every summer thanks to the wonderful sponsors who make it possible each year,” said Suzy Moore, Artistic Director at The Avalon Foundation.

All shows are free to all and take place on Saturday nights on Harrison Street between Dover and Goldsborough streets in downtown Easton. Harrison Street will be closed at 5 p.m. and the concerts will start promptly at 7 p.m. In the event of rain, all shows will be moved to the Avalon Theatre. Feel free to bring a lawn chair for comfortable seating.

Plein Air Easton is the largest and most prestigious juried Plein Air painting competition in the United States. Artists from all over the U.S. and beyond participate in this week-long festival. Amateurs can also join in the fun during the highly anticipated Quick Draw Competition. This is art as a spectator sport!

The Avalon Theatre has been a staple of downtown Easton since the early 1920's featuring theater, symphony orchestras, national acts and local talent. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome prospective couples to the Tidewater Inn for our Open House. This is a wonderful opportunity to tour our stunning venues and hotel, explore Easton, and hear the latest Tidewater Inn news! We are offering an Open House from 10:00 am-12:00 pm every Saturday, no appointment is necessary. We are also offering limited tours by appointment only during the week.
