Front Office Supervisor

The Tidewater Inn is looking for a Front Desk Supervisor with hospitality and customer service experience. Front Desk Supervisors serve as the face of a hotel, providing customers with a first and last impression as both greeters of new guests and well-wishers to departing ones. As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will perform or delegate various tasks that are essential to daily operations of a hotel's front desk. These tasks include making and confirming reservations, verifying and collecting payments, issuing room keys, handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and in a professional manner, communicate with housekeeping and maintenance departments when guests report a problem, and understanding thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, and packages.

Front desk supervisors also assist with training and support of front desk agents. This position is responsible for supervising daily shift processes to ensure all team members adhere to standard operating procedures. Candidate would possess the ability to train, direct others, problem solve, and coach the front desk team members to ensure quality operation of the department.

Applicants must be friendly and outgoing, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Flexible schedule required including availability for evenings, weekends and holidays. Computer proficiency, including email, the internet, and Microsoft Office is a must.
